Maxim Mihaela

Following her singing studies at the “Gheorghe Dima” Academy of Music in Cluj (class of Professor Elena Andrieş Moldovan), Mihaela Maxim participated in master classes held by Lucia Stănescu, Corneliu Murgu, Mariana Nicolesco, Jan van Elsacker and Mieke van der Sluis.

Mihaela Maxim won numerous national and international singing competitons: „Magda Ianculescu” (Bucharest, 1999), „Sabin Drăgoi” (Timişoara, 1999), „Ionel Perlea” (Slobozia, 2000), The National Romanian Lied Festival and Competition (Braşov, 2003), „Hariclea Darclée” (Brăila, 2003 and 2005, when she was awarded the Grand Prize).

She approaches a wide repertoire, ranging from opera to vocal-symphonic and chamber genres and she is a frequent collaborator of the “Transylvania” Baroque Ensemble, Flauto Dolce and Arcadia Quartet.

Her performance of lieder gained her an important international recognition: she was invited to perform in numerous international tours, such as her recent performances together with Arcadia Quartet at prestigious European venues such as Salle Gaveau Paris (2013) or Konzerthaus Berlin (2014).
